The smokey atmospheric textures of this 3d printed vase were achieved by natural smoke and combustibles during a pit firing in Malibu, CA. Objects placed into this ancient firing technique are covered with tin foil which trap smoke and reduce the atmosphere, allowing carbon, minerals and combustibles like seaweed, coffee, sodium and banana peels to color the pottery.
Measures loosely 10.5 × 6.25 × 6 inches
Due to the nature of pit firing, objects are not fully vitrified which means object is not 100% water tight. If used as a vase, please only use dried flowers.
