Landscape Series - Silverlake

$100.00
sold out

I took this photo in Silverlake, CA in 2022, freshly back in LA after being in Portland for a dozen years. These flowers are just simple highway daisies, but something about them stood out to me in the moment. Maybe the contrasting vibrations of the purple with the orange, or just the comfortability of the ordinary characteristics of something we tend to glaze over because they appear in life so often. Whatever it was, it feels like a life marker of sorts, and I do appreciate their simplicity.

About the Limited Series:
A collection of postcards from my own travel roll, this series is deeply personal. These blurred snapshots are from my life and travels and span over the last 10 or so years of exploration. With this graphic treatment, they become more about blended colors and textured blurs and become these soft ephemeral scenes.

Nature continues to be a North Star in my practice and I’m so happy to share these exploratory views.
