Landscape Series - Berkeley
A little over two years ago, I traveled to the Bay area for an event showcasing my first collection of 3d-printed vessels. After a beautiful day of presenting my work and a social night, I woke up the next morning feeling so light and delighted by the support and turnout. On my morning walk with the dogs we came upon a huge hillside of California Poppies. Since moving back to California, I hadn’t really seen so many in one place and I loved how they all danced in the wind. It was a tender moment between me and these little pops of color. I also discovered how much I love the Berkeley area, having never spent much time there!
About the Series:
A collection of postcards from my own travel roll, this series is deeply personal. These blurred snapshots are from my life and travels and span over the last 10 or so years of exploration. With this graphic treatment, they become more about blended colors and textured blurs and become these soft ephemeral scenes.
Nature continues to be a North Star in my practice and I’m so happy to share these exploratory views.
