In my garden, after a rainfall, you can faintly, yes, hear the breaking of new blooms.
— Truman Capote

Taking its title from Capote’s poetic meditation on emergence and transformation, The Breaking of New Blooms brings together two artists whose work explores the interplay of materiality, nostalgia, texture, and recollection. For Thomas C. Bradley and Haley Ann Bradley, this body of work is both a reflection and an act of becoming — a literal and metaphorical breaking and blooming, signaling a shift in practice and self.

Show opened March 22nd, 2025 at And Friends Gallery in Santa Cruz, CA.
